After seeing the "producer type" talking heads on the LotR DVD talk about the game I am glad this got canned. One can only hope the other versions get canned as well. Not everything has to be a fucking game.

One thing this says loudly and clearly is: "Opportunistic spin offs will bite your ass and good." If it took Tolkien years to write LOTR, and Jackson years to film it, what made a bunch of NFL Hockey-game producing nitwits at EA think they could whip out a game overnight? Idiots.

At least EA has their priorities in order. Shipping a game by a certain date is far better than making sure it's done right. You can almost assume that all of their LOTR games will suck ass just because they'er being pumped out to meet the movies release.
