HomeLAN Fed has posted a Q&A with John Hiles of the MOVES Institute, who answers questions about the America's Army Soldiers game. This is the RPG style that is going to be released. JCal asks how the player gets started with this game, the gameplay, if John feels that due to this game people will understand the Army better, what effect the Operations game has on Soldiers and a few other things.

  • OK, Operations was an excellent idea. It's fun and shows off whatever army bs they wanted to. HOWEVER... AN RPG IN THE ARMY?! WHAT THE FUCK?!

"players can adjust and guide their characters by changing their values and goals. For example, a player might decide to develop more Integrity for their character or to get their character involved in amateur sports. Or they might try to get their character a date."

What in the fuck does this have to do with the army AT ALL?! What is it doing in a game where you're supposed to be a soldier?! If you're at war why not raid villages for foreign prostitutes or rape the locals? A story about a soldier in the army? Don't get me wrong, propaganda is propaganda but this is perhaps pushing it to new limits.
