Wow... well I don't know about you but I absolutely loved every second I played it...
Played for about 2 hours or so... got one crash to desktop.

My imagination and my superficial vision of war (not to mention movies) tells me this is what a battlefield should look like to me, this is how guns should feel in a computer game to me, and this is what 1942 would look like in my imagination.

So in a very personal way I loved it. Completely. It has me under its spell and I just can't stop playing.

Is there a reason we can't post a negative comment about a game without it being made invisible? I made a comment asking if this game is as lousy-looking as the screenshots make it out to be, and it is no longer visable in the Comments list as far as I can tell.

It's a valid question - the screenshots of the game look like something from 1995.

Meh. Home come their armor can't hit a tank standind still, but can bullseye a running infantryman.

I think they've got some AI problems to work out, although this game will probably rock in MP.

Did anyone get to the initial spawn point, it counts down to 0 and you don't spawn? It continuously did this. I'd choose a spawn point, it'd count down, sit there for a second then start counting down again. wtf.

The map is alright but ultimately it's boring without real opponents. And the sof2 style sniping by the bots makes it a painful experience

Anyone else completely unable to play this?

Installed fine, go to play, menu's work great, load the quick mission and 1/10th through the loading, just dumps me back to the desktop.

Windows XP, P4 2.4, Geforce 4 Ti 4400.
Tried different drivers, different settings, same deal.

Really sucks ass as I am really looking forward to this one.

Geez I really don't get people shitting about these graphics! It looks great, polished and detailed. Remember the engine should also be able to show images from miles up in the air. The landscape is very well rendered and I don't fucking care if I can see every single piece of sand on the ground. View distance is great, framerate is smooth at 1600x1200 and weapon and player models, as well vehicles look great. Water looks nice too, buildings fit in perfectly. What's wrong?

Gameplaywise it also rocks. Well it's bot-match but it's way better than in recently released games like Mobile Forces. In multiplayer this will just rock with great teamwork, great focus on vehicle based combat and even airplanes.

They just need to get rid of some bugs and we have a great follow-up to Medal of Honor or even Counter-Strike. This game has great teamplay after all.

Actually, I'm in the beta right now...I like it. Fairly complex, and although it's buggy and the graphics are "ehhh...", I still think it's a pretty good game.

But then, I liked Operation Flashpoint.

Hey, this game is actually pretty fun.

Pros:

- A Good War Atmosphere
- Plenty of ways to die/kill
- Gameplay is generally fun

Cons:

- Braindead AI
- Buggy up the crapshooter
- Bland Graphics

Well, chalk that up to one shitty demo. Game looks promising and could be fun, but the lockups have got to go. Drove around in a tank or something trying to find the enemy, and when I finally did find them, hard lock.

I tried the beta a while ago, and was suprised by the quality. That's not to say it's on the level of say, UT2, but it takes some of the better elements of Renegade and MoH.

Okay, call it MOH with vehicles if you wanna. But I thought it was fun.
