2. DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT(DRM) TECHNOLOGY
-----------------------------------------
Microsoft's Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a technology which
enables the copyright owner of an intellectual property (for example,
a digital audio file), to control how the listener uses the file.
To protect against unauthorised duplication, Sound Blaster Live!
shuts down its digital output when encrypted files are played
back through a Microsoft DRM supported audio player (for example,
Creative PlayCenter).
I'm definitely not gonna install these new drivers...

Theres new unified drivers out for the SbLive and Audigy series cards.
They have only been released by Compaq so far but are are WHQL certified and are dated 3/18/02. They are WDM drivers and will work on Win98 SE,ME,2K and XP.
The download (377MB) is the WHOLE CD and incudes ALL the applications, samples, etc and updated Audio HQ and surround mixer so you get a complete update, its essentially liveware 4 as previous updates have provided less than this.
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp20501-21000/SP20920.exe
NOTE: After extraction delete the ctoem.cfg in the Audio\Setup folder. Run setup there to install the software/drivers. There is no Compaq branding in the software.
I hope this is useful as these drivers fixed quite a few EAX glitches I was having.
