Evening Reading
by Steve Gibson, Jul 01, 2002 6:00pm PDTWell the new comment system we've put in place here seems to be going fairly well. Had a couple of hiccups this afternoon that shouldnt really be a regular thing but I'm gonna watch things go through tomorrow to see just how smooth a day can be with this stuff before going with it for sure. It looks 99% likely at this point. Once that decision is made you'll prolly be seeing a few more changes and of course nested mode will be fleshed out as intended. Here's the stuff for the evening:
- New MS anti-piracy stuff - Cancer sticks now cost $7 per pack in NYC - Executions unconstitutional? According to one judge - Chatty bitches at work arent always good workers. Thanks Fark - Whats up with those online reviewers? - Meet one of those spamming commiesLastly, I've taken most of the FileShack servers out of rotation for the evening as we're going to be doing some code testing. Apologies to those of you who end up getting not-so-snappy downloads. It's most likely Maarten's fault somehow.

There is a new Battlefield 1942 video out that I hadn't seen before. As some of you know, I have been claiming that BF1942 will be definite thing to have once it comes out ever since Digital Illusions started production on it. The reason I have been so definite is because the prequel, Codename: Eagle, although not a big hit in america due to the lack of advertising of the title, belongs to my absolute favorite multiplayer title ever. I am a sucker for good multiplayer fun, and that game could bring it like no other. Now with BattleField 1942, the world will finally see why I've been so ecstatic about the whole deal.
Turn down the lights and raise the volume. Enjoy.

No I have to ask, why the hell would they actually stop the package to make it a 3 day delivery. I understand if its busy and then next day air and 2nd day air stuff gets priority but why the fuck would you just leave the package on the other side of the country just to make sure they customer doesn't get omre than he paid for.
fuck cock shit whore

Thinking quickly, the other boy takes a stick and shoves it under the dog's collar, twists it,and breaks the dog's neck, thus saving his friend.
A sports reporter who was strolling by sees the incident and rushes over to interview the boy. He tells the boy he's going to write the story
and "I'll title it Young Longhorn Fan Saves friend From Vicious Animal'"
"But I'm not a Longhorn fan", the little hero replies.
"Sorry, since we're in Texas, I just assumed you were", says the reporter and he starts writing again. "How does 'Aggie Fan Rescues Friend From Horrific Attack sound?
"I'm not an Aggie fan either," the boy says.
"Oh, I thought everyone in Texas was either for the Aggies or the Longhorns. What team do you root for?", the reporter asks.
"I'm just visiting my cousin, I'm a Oklahoma Sooner fan", the boy replies."They're just the best!"
The reporter smiles, starts a new sheet in his notebook, and writes:
"Little Redneck Bastard From Oklahoma Kills Beloved Family Pet".
