You can grab the demo from one of our eight Fileshack mirrors by going here. In related news, you can also download an updated editor which you'll need if you have the 1.01 patch installed and want to create content for the game. This editor does not work on the demo. I just grabbed this, didn't think too much of it when it came out but boy it looks fun from what I played. As someone mentioned, it's great to see devs doing the whole 2d side-scroller thing again but making use of the features and power of today's hardware. I'll probably pick this one up at some point pretty soon.

The Demo was average.

Way too much jumping which could have been offset with climbinging, swinging, or shooting objects that fall down making another path etc. etc..

The levels shouldnt have looked the same, that really messed it up for me, it almost made me stop playing.

Jet pack and the inside areas were very good, and the final boss was just kick ass!

I've been playing this game for a while. Almost finished the thing today when it crashed on what I think was the final boss. I would install the patch but I don't want to lose my saved games.

This game really is a lot of fun.

HOLY GOD!! My system is the biggest pile of SHIT ever created! I played through the demo, barely. I had to set the res at 640 x 480, detail to low, and disable all the other settings. And it was still choppy! I can only imagine what the game looks like on a P4 and GeForce4. *me cries*

Not bad at all with a control pad. Kinda like the old 2.5D console platformers. Better than I thought it would be, but my expectations were low. I'd pick this up when for $20.

Quite good oldschool Contra-style game. Very smooth and pretty with hardware 3d acceleration. Makes me wish more games would use modern video cards as crazy power for side-scrollers (imagine gamecube Metroid in 2d).

I played it at my friend's house a few days after it came out. It's ok, very little in the way of new platforming concepts but I guess it never promised that. Worth trying the demo I suppose.

Its a pretty fun game. I suggest playing it at the highest difficulty (I played it at medium and it was a bit too easy, imo). Again, it was pretty cool. If it was more like the old Contra games (ie - LOTS of enemies, really fast, insane bosses) it would probably be perfect in my eyes.
