On Windows Longhorn

WinInfo has posted an article looking at the newest Windows, codenamed Longhorn. It basically involves tracking a lot of things that you do, and making the OS even easier to use. Longhorn is scheduled for a 2004 release. Thanks [andromeda].

maybe if instead of releasing a new version of windows every 2 or 3 years they should let one version of windows for like 6 years while they make a decent and perhaps stable & secure windows. just a thought... i like my windows for linux idea better tho, it'd run faster

i wonder what wonderous new product they'll force-feed us this time. so far we've got ie, msn messenger, let me hack your insecure xp box (codenamed Remote Desktop Connection), ii$ (in win2kpro anyway)...
the thing that really gets me is that windows is the only product in its field. smart people use linux, dumb people use macos, and all the 'normal' people are left with windows.

Sounds like some good ideas, but knowing MS, it will be very intrusive and they'll force you to use their sevices for all this.
