Late Night Consoling
by jason bergman, Jun 21, 2002 8:30pm PDTSo as you may have noticed, tonight features the first use of the Azel format, which was the overwhelming winner of the poll to determine the new look of these posts. I must say, I was surprised...I didn't think people really wanted headlines that badly. I do hate 'em, but due to overwhelming demand, I'll give them a shot and see how they take. I'm also probably going to tweak these over the next couple of weeks, experimenting with different table sizes and possibly using some of the colors from the Opa-Opa design as well. It's an evolving process here. Update: as the new look was screwing up the main page, it's been pulled until I can figure out a better solution. Update x2: I think I've got it fixed, so I've put it back again.

I think the headlines are definitely going to have to go though. With the table squished like that on the main page, the post is much too large.

There are not really many games on the PS2 that I'm interested in, as such the gaming side is not a huge draw. However the added ability to play DVDs on it makes it a viable option.
So, how does the DVD quality compare to a good DVD player? Can the PS2 really compete?

Only issue i have with it is its size... I'd love to see that split into two stories...one earlier in the day one later in the day.

A pretty bold claim, but still if they were able to successfully incorporate half of the ambitious amount of stuff they had planned for the game I'll be checking it out.
