The Inquirer as always managed to obtain the latest Intel roadmap which is showing several developments. DDR333 chipsets are coming earlier than expected, with an early second half 2002 not looking unlikely. A 3Ghz P4 still isn't on the roadmap, however 2.6Ghz and 2.66Ghz CPUs are on the way. When those get introduced, the price of the 2.53 and 2.5Ghz will be cut to less than $433.

intel better get a 3ghz on that roadmap, or they're seriously gonna get smacked around when the hammer comes out. and i mean hardcore smacked.
