According to CNET, AMD will release the Athlon XP 2200+ on Monday. The XP 2200+ will run at 1.8Ghz. There's no word on pricing.

I'm not brain dead, I have a lot of money in AMD. But they way they are releasing chips I meant that hopefully this was an unusual delay and that they will make up for it. Because even if they do keep pace with Intel they will still be always one step behind now.

There was a site I found off pricewatch listing the 2200+ as being $214 for OEM, that might just be a preliminary deposit, but what if it wasn't? Hehehe, would be another sound kick in the nuts of Intel.
