Gore does not have fancy graphics, certainly. But they look functional and decent. There are a few things that I think are nice.
The Stamina system is good so people dont hop like bunny rabbits all the time.
The armor system looks promising because of the location damage system. I find that great.
Can shoot health packs etc = excellent.

This is no DOOM3 but it looks like it can be fun. I think if they deliver what they promise on the web site, they deserve props. If it's $20, I'll probably pick it up.

unless your john carmack, do NOT license a game engine from anyone whos one one person development team *slam software's amp engine cough*

I'm sure these guys meant well, but through it's entire life Gore just seemed to playing catch up against the big names, changing it's style (totally) when the competition did.

I can't see how it could end up being very sucessful.

Good luck to these guys -- the entire Quake-clone FPS genre is looking very, very flat creatively and in terms of market share, and as for innovation, well, they've tried, but just try to teach a whore new tricks. ;)
