Video games have reached a tipping point in the culture, with over 145 million people playing, said G4 Media CEO Charles Hirschhorn. "This is a lifestyle channel. The game community deserves a channel. There have been decades of great work ... and our goal is to complement the community."Yeah, this ran on ShackES a couple days ago, but we generally dont cover CPL stuff here much anymore and I thought this was particularly worth a mention.

It seems like a company like Intel could value the use of their brand at any tens of millions amount of $'s they wanted to... making this "commitment" largely ".com era" valuations; and not actual cold hard cash.
Companies like Disney and McDonalds always match a huge value w/ the use of their brand/name for partners... in this case it could be a $44,999,999.99 valuation of the use of the brand and penny investment.
