Good news about Soldier of Fortune 2 going gold. Can't wait to pick up a copy of the game after E3. I hope there are several good Infiltration maps to play. And if not, I'm still not bored of mp_shop. If you were wondering what happened to the link to the game servers page, it's below the tower banner on the frontpage now. I know, not exactly easy to spot. With three buttons above the banner (now that we've added a Shackstore one), the banner would be lower than where we want it to be. Hopefully we can find a better solution soon. Movie: All you people are so scared of me. But it ain't me you gotta worry about now.

ok dont need any more replies to that rules thread. fyi here's the current plan, which we will start acting on a bit after e3:

1 - better communication between mods, mailing list etc.. shoot for more consistency. it was my mistake to assume mods would share the same judgement. yeah, dumb idealistic move. oops.
2 - rework the post rating/voting system to have a more visible outcome. it's helpful for mods, but not nearly as useful as it could be.
3 - more mods.

but, if that doesnt work out..

4 - move to a modified SA style system (which we'd solicit some feedback on first, obviously we wouldnt take the whole thing)
5 - with the SA style system, we'd have shorter bans for first time offenders

yes there are certainly more programming related solutions that could help. (user pre-modding, etc) but that isnt an option right now.
yes i realize that the new rule system would alienate some existing users. we're betting on the long term gains.

as for what you perceive as the most popular aspects of shack, ill assure you it aint werd/fp/er, although it did grow a bit in unique's when PRL went in.

I love the shack... without the shack i dont know what i would do on the interweb. I know ive had my share of disagremeents with shack admins and users and i hope they didnt take it the wrong way or hold any grudges Mr. Gibson i still lub j00.

Truth is if any of the shackers were to show up at my door needing a place to chill or something i wouldnt turn them away. That might just be me though *shrugs*.

As for Steve and CO.'s attempts to make this a better community then im all for it. We have one of the best, if not THE best, online community i have ever been apart of dating back to my old sk00l days of running BBS's :), and if the efforts of Steve and CO. make this a better place then we all benefit.

If any of you wanna go out for a beer or whatever just drop me a line :D

Now that he has retired, is Jose Canseco a Hall of Famer?

My opinion is yes because of these stats: 462 HRs, 1407 RBIs, 200 SB

He is like one of 9 guys to hit over 400 HRs and steal 200 bases. He's going to have trouble getting into the Hall, however, because he was widely disliked. If that ends up being the case, the Hall of Fame is nothing but a sham.

Total NATT mp3WMA spooge-fest. Natt is a funk-rock fusion type of music. Kind of hard to explain, definately doesn't sound like anything you'd hear on the radio. None the less, highly recommended :)

Only reason I have no shame sharing this whole album is because the band just recently broke up, and I know them and they would be cool with me spreading their music to more people.
