First Post!

Hey some actual first person shooter news this morning. Doesn't really matter that we've begun covering other game genres, everybody knows people come here for the FPS news (which are my favorite games anyway). So that James Bond game is announced, and I know that EA will announce another high profile title real soon. Let's hope there are some Bond screenshots soon. Been playing Soldier of Fortune 2 with the Shackers late at night the past few days. Though I ping 130-150 to the server haiku has put up for us all, it really doesn't matter much as I still get my kills in and sometimes even top the frag list. It's a lot more fun than playing against random people, even if you ping 30 on local servers. Aside from Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament I don't think there are a lot, if any, multiplayer games I have played more than 3 hours a day but Soldier of Fortune 2 is another one. In some site related news, it seems that cookies are being reset regularly, which means people have to log in again and such. I think this is due to the cookie code used for collapsing threads, which either resets the cookie, or just makes the cookie too big as I think there is a max size for them. It would be easy to blame my own code, but I didn't change anything recently. So the only advice I can offer is only collapse threads right now if it's really necessary but otherwise wait until we look into the problem.
