  • I love how people posting on a GAMING WEBSITE MSGBOARD talk shit about 'dorks' and 'nerds' and how stupid it is to 'watch geeks playing games'. You'd sound just like some meat-head jocko-homo neanderthal from my high-school if I wasn't 100% confident you were a FUCKING NERD YOURSELF. I don't give a shit if you play football every morning before breakfast - if to you the idea of gaming = nerds then plz FUCK OFF OF THE GAMING WEBSITEs you fucking CHOWDERHEAD.
    YEESH.

Now, this isn't necessarily a bad idea, this whole gaming-tv thing. You can find LOTS of gaming news daily - any bored office-worker can tell you that, so there will be news to cover. What it will require though, is some real help from developers and promoters of gaming; if they can get a consistent stream of preview information from dev's and some pro-gaming news that reflects the international gaming scene it would be something I'd watch. Shit I enjoy listening to this board bitch and moan and argue about what they do/don't prefer; it could work on tv as long as they treat the audience like it's solely made up of 12-15 year-olds. They know that there's people in this country spending absolute SHIT-LOADS of cash on games yearly, and that the bigge$t contributer$ are the 19-28yr-old sector. Cater to those people intelligently and there's an audience to be had. THat's the glass half-full; this is not necessarily a bad idea.

The glass half-empty is that doing this correctly will require subtlety and creativity as well as an initimate knowledge of the different gaming 'scenes' and their audiences, which would be fucking tough - this will likely fail.

  • Well I just got a quick reply from them about G4 coming to Canada... Here it is.

So you want to see G4Â…. we want you to see it too! Unfortunately, it may be a little while until youÂ’re able to watch us in Canada, but donÂ’t fret, hereÂ’s a few things you can do to help it happen a bit sooner. Call Star Choice again and tell them you want G4. TheyÂ’ll need to know that G4 is a Comcast owned network based out of Los Angeles launching April, 24 2002. Another thing you can do is send that same information to Star Choice via email. You can get their email address off of their website or by calling them and asking for it. Keep an eye on our website (which just launched) and until then,
