Both HardOCP and FiringSquad have taken a look at the upcoming GeForce 4 Ti4200, the cheapest of the "real" GeForce 4 cards. The question is, can you overclock this card to Ti4600 speeds? It certainly gets close.

What's with "test configurations" that these guys use to benchmark stuff.. who the hell uses P4 2.2 Ghz? Why not get real and use Duron 1.0 Ghz or something similar..

Show us how it performs in the real world, not your little uber geek setups!

They need to market this card for less than $199. With the Ti4400 already down to $234, it makes more sense to pay the extra $30 and get one of those.

I imagine that certain vendors will eventually offer this card with very high quality memory modules, and they'll simply ship their 4200's at the factory recommended settings, leaving the user to overclock at their leisure.

at least, that is my hope, as I do not feel like shelling out $680 CDN for a 4600....
