Unreal Dates Confirmed

The Infogrames press release officially announcing the release dates and new Unreal Tournament name we already knew about is now up at Blues News. As mentioned here before, Unreal Tournament is now Unreal Tournament 2003 and will ship this summer. Unreal 2 will follow late this year. The press release does mention the following about UT2003 ' "UT2003" takes players into more than 30 action packed arenas, with over 50 highly individualized characters and an intimidating arsenal of weaponry'.

um. holy fuck. i just watched that video. i was thinking. yawn.. looks like q3 or whatever. then about 3 minutes into it it shows what ive always fucking wanted in videogames! i couldnt believe it. dead bodies flop around and shit. and have proper collision. roll down stairs. hit things and spin around. no more dead guy falls in predetermined manner (often into a wall). it would slump on a wall. or hang off an edge. etc etc. very very very nice!

I hope that UT2 is the first game to break me away from the stale quake series.
