So remember last week when I said I couldn't decide whether to pick up Jet Set Radio Future or New Legends? Well, I wound up selling so many games back that I was able to get both. I haven't touched NL yet though...I'm having too much fun with JSRF. I'm pleased with the Japanese controller, but not overjoyed...look for more details in my article on that some time next week.

  • More information has come out regarding the surprise announcement last week that SquareSoft will be making games for Nintendo's systems. It looks like one of the first out of the gate may wind up being a GBA port of Final Fantasy Tactics. Also note that that article says the PS2 will still be the "main platform" for both Final Fantasy XI and XII (that doesn't mean either or both of them won't get ported though).
  • XenGamers has posted a Q&A with Hirohisa Oura, the head of Microsoft's Japanese Xbox division.
  • Microsoft has announced that Kakuto Chojin, the game formerly known as Project KX will be released this fall. Accompanying the announcement at GameSpot are quite a few screenshots from the game.
  • Eidos Interactive has posted a new trailer for Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 on their web site (thanks Team Xbox).
  • Word on the street is that that Japanese version of Onimusha 2 has a trailer for Onimusha 3 at the end of the game. This is similar to the first one, which had a trailer for its sequel after the credits.
Console Game of the Evening: Bushido Blade for the PSOne. This unique title isn't for everyone, and if you're playing against someone really experienced it's next to impossible...but if you can give it time, you'll find it's really an excellent one-on-one sword-based fighting game.
