and did i read right and they said they were using their own renegade 3d engine for it? i guess that explains it....
seriously looks to be on par with the rest of westwood's shit.. it will be just like emporer, same old boring game with some kool cutscenes..
how the hell do they expect to compete with graphics that look that bad with games like War3 & Age of Mythology looking so unbelievably good... westwood/ea, i never buy their games anymore they lost it a long time ago..

Ok it looks to me to be all too similar to Blizzard's interface, down to what looks to be like a unit selection limit, formerly one of the factors that differentiated WW RTS's from Blizzard's.
Come on, Westwood, don't give in like that, the C&C interface wasn't all bad.
BRING IT ON, BABY!!!!!!!

Sorry Westwood, but this time you will not fool me again. I am sticking to Blizzard after 4 (RA was good, so 1 out of 5) bad RTS-games.
Warcraft 3 will make me wanna play all night long again..

I want to use tanks and attack choppers and stuff! That's what I liked about the original C&C, and C&C2. I must say that I had pretty much lost my faith in Westwood after Red Alert 2, and how silly the unit design was. But C&C:Generals is looking pretty damn promising... I'm really looking forward to hearing more about it.
I say stick with the realistic warfare theme, and ditch the stupid sci-fi prism-tesla-squids-with-party-hats crap.

holy crap... SPOOGE!
I like the look and sound of this game. It is something I may buy. If this game does not have better AI or contain fog of war, I shall firebomb your offices.
That is all.
I just hope that it's not C&C with a makeover. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO BUILD 2 TANKS AT THE SAME TIME MR. WESTWOOD SIR. THE UBERQUEUE WENT OUT OF STYLE WITH WARCRAFT. Thanks.

but the one thing thats always bugged me about the c&c games is the acctual play style... i just dont like it
for some reason all the games either ended in 5 seconds because of a horrible inballance of the units/characters
or it just turns into a sim city buildup game...
usually i found out whoever moves their 908903432098 tanks first looses thanks to the horrid path ai
i loved c&c 1, but red alart was just meh... not that great, i never botherd to play tiberiun sun or ra2... i just didnt care
