Unreal Dates

HomeLAN Fed managed to get release dates for the next Unreal games out of Mark Rein, as part of an interview they will publish soon. According to Rein, Unreal Tournament 2 should be released before the end of June, while Unreal 2 should be released before Christmas. The Mark Rein interview will go up on Sunday, where he'll talk more about the games, the Unreal Performance Test, and Epic's plans for trade shows.

apparently i know someone who has the stolen version from e3 demo. It has about 7 maps. You all know that ut emphasizes outdoor environment. But apparently my friend tried it and he says the terrain is kindov ass (in other words team arenas engine is better) one sign of relief is that he says that the interior of buildings are awesome, but then again the transition between indoor (40-50 fps) to outdoor (20-25 fps). And this is on athlon xp 1700+ and geforce 3 (the first geforce 3's non mx). Oh yah for ppl who liked the physics on ut, well apparently they are the same, for ppl like me who prefer q3 physics you wont like it.

Hmmmmm I'd prefer to wait slightly less time for the almost-certain-to-be-awesome-judging-by-the-information-available-and-the-past-performance-of-all-companies-involved Unreal2.

But at least it should coincide with the usual miserable and game-conducive winter weather...

Phft... since when was Unreal2 delayed that late? >:/ It was supposed to be out this spring/summer (May-June).
