The VIA Kyro?

The Inquirer is reporting that VIA is interested in buying STMicroelectronics. STM announced they are getting out of the graphics business not to long ago, and has been selling PowerVR Kyro II chips. VIA already has S3 graphics technology but getting Kyro technology would certainly be a step up.

Yeah, the Kyro tech would work wonders in an integrated, shared memory setting. It would definitely make for a nice performance boost for integrated video technology (which moves really slow compared to descrete video...)
