  • There's something about that second screenshot that's extremely different from any game I've seen. It's not pure eye candy but it's very pretty with really good lighting. I think it comes very close to portraying a realistic environment, far more than any game I've seen. The textures aren't perfect or anything, but everything seems to be sitting in the right place: the trees are where they are supposed to be, the dirt road moves along like you might imagine one would, the sky color seems about right, and everything seems lit correctly. Pretty cool if you ask me.

  • Graphics look nice, the game-play was lots of fun in the first one but there is this one issue that I can't get over. It's the movement physics, those "sticky" - "not precise" movements of your character were driving me nuts (itÂ’s actually very hard to explain. ItÂ’s similar to what Quake players say about Unreal “that feeling is missing”). It makes it sooooo hard to execute a simple jump and land exactly where you wanted that I almost quit in the middle of the game but the pride of being a hardcore gamer helped me to get through this nasty obstacle of inconvenience. I hope that theyÂ’ll look at the movement physics in Unreal or Quake and fix that.

  • MMORPGs looking better than FPS's? You have to remember WHEN these MMORPGs are coming out, compared to WHEN the FPS's are coming out. Basically everything after Anarchy-online was released (besides the ugly DAOC engine) has been looking very nice as far as graphics are. I think there is an obvious trend in making MMORPGs not look like complete ass, and the reason is that they just started developing them and so they do not look like complete ass right now. By the time they come out, they will probably just be on par with games then. Although some of them might be ahead, depending on how fast they are out the door. Blah fuck it, this game looks good to me, NOLF kicked ass, I think this one will be good, and being critical about graphics is about the simplist way to troll.
