Intel today released the first Pentium 4 M CPUs for notebooks. The mobile Pentium 4 chips are available at 1.6 and 1.7Ghz. Most major notebook makers should have notebooks with the Pentium4-M available soon.

Great, so it has DDR support. Now all we need is laptop DDR memory! The Athlon 4 has had DDR support all along, yet you still don't see any laptops (at least, none advertised) using it. *shrug*

"The average price of these new notebooks is about $2,500..."

I saw a Toshiba laptop using a non-mobile Pentium 4 advertised for $1700 this week. What makes the mobile P4 so valuable?
