Renegade Patch

The first patch for C&C Renegade has been released, for the English, German, French, Chinese, Japanese and Korean versions. It's a 4.3mb download. Blues News has a list of changes, the patch mainly fixes bugs but also has some multiplayer improvements.

Just give it up, you know it's a steaming pile. I'm sorry, but as cool as the vehicles and stuff are, the fact that is that the basic structure of the FPS genre, biped-to-biped combat, is just totally stupid in this game. Without that, you just have some cute toys. And don't give me some teamplay arguement, Tribes 2 is all about teamplay too and it managed to get the basics right.
I don't think that anyone who ever really got into Quake or Unreal will stick with this game more than a month. The C&C peeps who are new to the genre may stay with it, I donno.

I clicked on "comments" becuase I saw a zero, and thought that the posting was worthy of my usual slough of meaningless banter. Suffice to say that I am greater than zero, but only by a small margin.
