Gamespot has posted the first details on Rise of Nations, an upcoming strategy game from Big Huge Games. BHG was started by Brian Reynolds, co-creator of Civilization and Alpha Centauri. The Gamespot preview comes with several screenshots.

I enjoy when a game has, what looks to be, solid and good content before they release details and begin to "hype" it (although this isnt really hype), unlike some other games (postal 2 (what a joke)). For that matter I like it when the content is there before the game details are released to the public, it shows that the developers are serious about the game, and not interested in making money.

This game actually looks really cool...

I'm a huge fan of civ games...

I've only tried Age of Empires II once, but it seemed like a nice game...

from the preview, RON sounds like it will be a nice balance between them...
