One of Project Mayhem's acts of vandalism is the destruction of a display of Apple Macintosh computers. The explosion occurs at exactly 84 minutes into the film, an ironic reference to Apple's famous tribute to Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty-Four" when they debuted the Macintosh during the 1984 Super Bowl.

A nice read for those of you who find the Olympic scandals more interesting than the sports.
On a side note, why is the U.S. trying to host the Olympics so often? When was the last time you saw the Olympics held in say, Africa or South America?

Clay's BBS has returned!
connect to it, via telnet, at pfd.net or 216.227.36.77 or squabble.org... if you can't get there from that, heh oh well.
It has 8 nodes, LORD, TradeWars and a fun game called PimpWars. Get on now before everybody gets ahead of you!
I'm posting this at 12:01am EST (as everybody knows, when LORD resets) so get moving.
you NEED a good telnet client. here's a couple:
NetRunner: Still in beta, works well in all win32 enviornments
http://www.squabble.org/files/nrun_004.zip
mTelnet: Great app, works well, I have some issues in it XP (i know it works in 2000)
First file is the regular install, second is an update

Anyway - There is a Door game called DragonWarz - I enjoyed playing that in the little experience I had. (I liked that there was inter-BBS competition, and you could 'burn bridges' in the game so a particular bbs would not be able to attack you for instance)
Does that exist anywhere? Thanks

there i stood at circuit city...staring at the xbox and ps2 side by side - i decided the controller war was no more, i like both equally
but then a quandry - the games section at circuit city is actually pretty damn big - but they didnt have the key games i was looking for: Blood wake for xbox, and GTA3 for ps2, but they did have many ps2 games for $19.99 which surprised me
then i looked, and the ps2 mem card was $35.99, and extra controllers were also $35.99, kind of discouraging but expected while the xbox official extra controllers were no where to be found - that didnt make me happy
i walked back and forth between the two aisles, ps2, xbox, ps2, xbox, ps2, xbox...
i left with nothing.
i just couldn't make up my mind! so i decided to take one wise shackers advice and just wait until i know for sure which system i want, which will probably never happen and i'll have to force myself one way or the other. >:|
