Late Night Consoling
by jason bergman, Feb 13, 2002 8:30pm PSTSo GTA: Miami, huh? Strange, strange...I don't know what I think of a GTA set in a real city. I prefer Liberty City, which is really an amalgam of the look and feel of several cities (plus a great deal of artistic license).
- Sony has formally unveiled PlaystationBB, their name for their new broadband PS2 network in Japan. Along with the announcement is word that Sony will be releasing PS2-enabled DVD players in the near future, as well as a list of multiplayer-ready games, including Gran Turismo Online, Nobunaga's Ambition and Resident Evil Online. (which would seem to contradict Capcom's recent assurance that the series is a GameCube exclusive).
- In more PS2 Online news, Core Magazine has translated a Q&A with Sony's Ken Kutaragi, where he talks about their network plans.
- Good news for strategy RPG fans...Tactics Ogre for the GBA will be released here in North America. Too bad they won't be changing the name (which is just as bad as the other entries in the series).
- According to PS2.IGN, there's yet another James Bond title in the works, this time from developer Eurocom.

I bet microsoft busts out the online shit here first and takes over. They are the only console that has the nic/hard drive built in (already have more people equiped to go online here than sony). Also they own a cable company(i forgot which). So they have the infrastructure already set-up.
The USA feels like its gonna to be a hard place to set up an online gaming platform. Mainly because all the companies involved are gonna want to cash in the way of everquest and not like quake. They are gonna want a monthly fee to set up these expensive servers to play on.

All it took was, on the advice of DinK, a sick day to go back and get some better stuff (best weapons for Cloud and Cid and a Double Slash materia) and then tonight I kicked his ass. It went from being too hard to ass easy.
I love that end fight music and the end video was great.
Bring on FF8!

How exactly do you make a fuckin' Resident Evil: Online? Gran Tourismo Online will be fucking cool, though. Think of the racing! INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! Bad... ass...
