Icewind Dale 2 Site, Interview

The official site for the Icewind Dale 2 RPG which was announced this morning, has now opened. It offers more info on the game along with a FAQ and five screenshots. Also, Gamespot has posted an Icewind Dale 2 Q&A. Producer Darren Monahan answers questions about the production, what engine is used, what kind of new features people can expect, if Jeremy Soule will be composing the music again and a few other things. Gamespot also has a few additional screenshots.

I don't mind that they are using the engine, I just hope they put a decent game in it.

From some of the stuff I've read about interplay, they are desperate for cash and see "IWD2" as a sure money winner... so they might be inclined to shovel some crap into pretty boxes and sell it..

build me a good game and i'll buy it though.

The gamespot link has some more shots. It loos preety good. The story looks standard but BIS has a long history of making fantastic games with good/great storylines that intially seem "normal".

I think this engine is long overdue for retirement, maybe they can use the Neverwinter Nights engine or something but this is ass.
