Urban Terror 2.4 Date

This should be 2.35 since they are barely changing anything.
Still no real gametypes.

My bad...your right about the AK being saved for he big 3.0. But the maps I spoke about are being released all the time. Subway is the newest, came out just last week. The makeover of Rommel is just the icing on the cake. It is a good map...sorta like Saving Private Ryan-ish. The addition of a better sky (cloud cover), rain and puddles. The real pisser about this map, is the spawn points in team mode. See, there is a sniper tower on one side, and a canal with ruins on the other. Team that spawns on sniper side has immediate advantage, Sucks! BUT, I can say in terms of action it is one of my fav's.
All in all...The mod is free, they are refining it all the time, Silicon Ice has had so much talent that they get sucked away to real paying jobs(not that UT is not real).
Come on...name one other mod with a weekly radio show...
BTW...Full Metal Jacket Mod looked great, but have you ever played?? PULL-EEZE.
But that is also free, and you get what you pay for. In FMJ's case..I got Nuthin'!

Actually, the AK isn't in 2.4. They're adding that for beta3 and there won't be any new maps in 2.4 either, just an improved ut_rommel.

Well, the comment about 2.35 at the top is WAY off. Personally Urban Terror is about the only thing I play. Throw in a mix of Unreal,Q3A,RTCW.

Grenades are changing, not only addition of smoke grenades, but damage factors have been tweaked. M4 has tweaks to it, Spaz shotgun has broader side range, but inflicts less damage, making it a truly "secondary" weapon. Medic signs will flash above team mates who have called for help. That is a major help. Fog tables have been added and also some new sounds. Visuals on some items have been refined. AND THEY ARE ADDING THE AK-47!!
There have been MANY new maps released this past 3 months..and it seems I find a new one every week.
All of this, and you say it is only an update?? You must not really know the game as a true Player. Some of these things will change how llamas "spray and pray".
I can't wait.
About the earlier versions, you gotta give props.

Man, I remember the first release of this mod. I was loke WTF! This thing sux ass. IT was missing a ton of textures. You used sarge and grunt for the models. There were a ton of sounds that would give the default BLEEP because they were missing and it had no gametypes just for UT. I have to say hats off to the SID team. They have stuck with it and put out a quality mod!

when is shack going to have a quake3 UT server ?

maybe have it setup to coincide with the 2.4 release ??
