CS Nation is reporting that the next releases of Half-Life and Counter-Strike will not come with Steam. Steam is Valve's content delivery system, but is not really friendly for the bandwidth impaired.

Actually, what steam is is as a content delivery system is that IT DOES NOT require owning halflife, it streams the ENTIRE game at once. I was in the beta. The steam system and the anti cheating thing are seperate, but they're testing the anti cheat measures with steam at the same time.
