as long as the comments with the shitty setting is positive i think it leaves elements of surprise to the release.

Remember a couple of years ago when this was called Decay, and the screenshots looked sweet? If they could have gotten this game out the door back then, they would have had something.

they haven't turned on the eyecandy.. they said so in an interview. They got so much positive feedback without it, so they wanna leave in some elements of surprise when they go retail (or release the tech demo)
