Seriously though, here's what I'm hoping for out of this game:

1) NPC / AI stuff that acts kind of like Grand Theft Auto, except better. I don't even care if it's not amazing anymore, I just want it to be at least one step up.

2) Good combat model.

If they can pull all that off, and it's smooth on my 6800GT, then they've won at least in some sense.

From what peeps are saying about the multiplayer beta, it sounds like they've accomplished the second thing.

Hey, those screens look pretty good!

Shots look "alright"...

like they are taking tech not really designed for outdoors and forcing all the tree and foliage in it...

the "flat tree" look is rediculous...

licence the fricking tribes 2 or serious sam engines if you want good out door terrain...

Looks cool. I just pray that they don't resort to the "render cool ground vegatation but only in a 20 foot circle around the player because any more would eat up to much resources" tactic. I've seen so many games do this, and it always looks stupid.

I would take these images for nothing until you see it in motion. Even then I wouldn't really say too much, until you see it for real. Looks like pretty decent graphics, even if the game will probably suck.
