I don't see why it would have ever been removed. It's not like they reprogrammed the whole game from scratch. They just have to reapply the instagib rules to the new weapon models and graphics. I dunno, maybe I'm way off here, but that's the way it seems to me.

Instagib is just a staple of FPS multiplayer now, I'm not suprised to see it make a comeback. I wonder if it's going to be in the form of a mutator, and if UT2 will support mutators. That was one of the best things about UT, the ability to change the rules of the game so easily. I wonder if it's going to be the "lightning sniper rifle" or if the good 'ol shockrifle will have the honor again in this game.

And if so, are they going to fix the delayed beam on the shockrifle.. I mean, it kinda looks cool, but it's just not as satisfying as the rail. Also I hope they make it go through multiple opponents like the rail if you're able to line them up. :)
