Seems like Intel will hold the lead (performance wise not price wise) untill Q3 or slightly later.

  eh, a 2000+ can compete with a 2.2Ghz p4, and there will be a 2200+ athlon XP .13 micron (thoroughbred) ... : Turd Ferguson
  - Yes the P4 2.2 Ghz isn't exactly a lot ahead of the Athlon XP 2000+ but with 2.5 Ghz from Intel I doubt ... : cannonfodder

Hardware has evolved so greatly compared to software that it's not even funny. These days you have to build a PC for what you think you will run on it. Amazing!
