Well as you all can see HardOCP is now sporting a new design (Update: ok it seems they have gone back to the old design temporarily). With this new design comes the Shacknews headlines now displayed on the right side. Headlines from HardOCP should make their way to this site too in the not too distant feature, which will hopefully mean a good amount of cross-over traffic. I consider the new email script almost done. It has now the Shack design and although not all colors have been tuned exactly, I don't really feel like editing 10 HTML files. Also yesterday I took the time to finally watch 12 Monkeys again, which was about the first time since I got it on DVD two years ago. I dunno wtf I was on at the time, but it was a lot better than I remembered it to be. Movie: I got a new game. Everybody dies.

  • Does anyone have any idea why a linux box would take FOREVER to log into from telnet? I enter login/password, then wait sometimes like 4 minutes before I finally get in. While this is going on, everything else on the box comes to a complete hault pretty much. All its doing is running a webserver/java servlet engine/mySQL server, and has been running it without a problem for about a year. Im not out of disk space and have plenty of ram (512mb). When Im not trying to log in, everything is fine: I can move around directories, access files, etc.

    any ideas?
