Medal of Honor Packaging
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 17, 2002 8:43am PSTLooks like one U.S. publisher is finally following the lead of publishers in Europe by introducing a smaller game box. EA will be putting Medal of Honor: Allied Assault in a box sized at 5.25 inches wide, 7.5 inches high and 1 inch deep. Not quite the DVD packaging used in Europe, but a good start.

Some of the benefits are: Large instruction manuals in which you don't have to print out yourself or alt tab between adobe and the game. Cool good looking box art. And I think the most important of all, LARGE pictures of the game you're buying, so you know exactly what its going to look like when you install it. Have you ever seen the screen captures on the back of playstation 2 games? They're like one inch by one inch. Yeah, lets all do what fucking europe is doing, because they're great and supar smart.

But the AOL cd's in the mail come in DVD boxes!? MOH should have just used a DVD box.
And put the game on 1 DVD while they were at it instead of 2 low capacity CD's!
This is just like back in the last days of 3.5" disks before the change to CD. Games being released on 20 - 30 floppies!
How many CD's was Baulder's Gate? 5!!?? It would have fit on 1 DVD!
