The first game rocks and 90% of the gamming comunity agrees with me.

I managed to play upto industrial espionage map. The one where you had to sneak in past the receptionist and steal some documents/take pictures.

I could not take it anymore after that. I loved Deus Ex, System Shock and the Theif games. But apart from a few cutscenes this just ended up being boring. I can only blame it on the stupid engine. The game always chugged horribly, and input always felt extremely lagged. And this was on a p3-933/gf2/512mb ram which was/is pretty decent. I played around with many graphics settings, which i shouldn't have had to on that system, but it was useless. I might have enjoyed it if it had felt smooth, but playing it just felt like chore and I had to give up.

for some reason I could not get into NOLF, I just installed it again hoping I would be more interested, but there is just something about it that I don't like. Maybe because I was trying to compare it a bit too much to Deus Ex (which I absolutely love) for some odd reason. I'll play it a bit more to see if it lights a fire under my ass. FLAME ON!
