Survivor Friday!

Well I missed updating last week. I was out of town and the girlfriend's mom forgot to tape it! Anyway, this is the second to last survivor update, so those of you that hate it, stay out of this thread. SPOILERS Well last week Young Kim had to go :-( This week, the only remaining member from Samburu was Theresa and she looked to be on the chopping block. After everyone was treated to letters from their familes (I hate the forced sentamentality), the reward challenge began. It was a word puzzle that Lex, again, won. With it, he won a truck(!) and a trip to deliver AIDS medication to a local charity-run hospital. This was where the wheeling and dealing started. Everyone wanted Lex out, both from jealousy and just being tired of his shit. So when Lex got back to camp, the tension was palpable and Lex was all but gone. Then the immunity challenge comes, which was a combination of the past ones (all physical). Being the strongest from winning rewards, Lex walked away with it, with Ethan trailing. This shook everything up, and even though Theresa almost played Lex for a chump AGAIN by saying that she was the "snake" that voted him, but at Tom's insistence, she was still voted out by everyone. This leaves one episode left, all with members of Boran. Highlights? The chicken chase with Tom's surprise catch. Tom's smelly ass feet. Lex being played again by Theresa. Frank in a sarong(!)

    Ok, last night was the first time I have ever voluntarily sat down and watched survivor. My gf insists on watching every week and having missed last week's episode due to a double date with a large bottle of whisky at a friend's house I felt obligated to watch the CBS drivel.

    Forced sentimentality. Jack, you hit it on the head there man. What a bunch of shit! An even bigger bunch of shit was the secondary 'prize' delivering the AIDS medicine. I have rarely been as disgusted as I was when I saw the obivous pandering of CBS. I'm no cold hearted bastard, but I tend to take an extremely dim view of celebrities (or in this case actual television shows) who notify the media that they are about to take a trip to a hospital to help out the downtrodden or sick or whatever. Is it really necessary to broadcast to the world that you are helping someone in need? I am still livid with disgust for the PR shit CBS pulled last night.

    Fuck you very much CBS.

    Back to the show I guess. It was plainly obvious, even to a relative Survivor rookie like myself that Lex was dead as shit when he got back from the hospital visit. If I had to choose a person from the five to go to when the chips are down I would have to choose Lex, he totally stomped everyone else in the immunity challenge. It wasn't even funny how much better (and healthier, right Jack?) he was than the others. The women did amazingly poorly last night as well.

    Tom makes me laugh. That's all. Nice catch on the chicken too!

    Yea..I'm bummed that kim is out..BUT HEY! at least we still get to see her all cleaned up and on the jury!! =)
    I was really dissapointed that Ethan didn't win immunity. I wanted Lex to be gone. I've even gotten tired of his nerotic behavoir when it comes to the votes and what happened. SHIT! When Theresa told him the truth about that vote that got him so insane, he didn't even feel bad or anything about what he "thought" kelly did. What a dick. My highlight was seeing kelly stomp into the tribal counsil with the shirt that read "shameless". Is it me or has kelly look pissed off at every tribal counsil she has been to since she was voted off?
    Oh yea...the emotion that they keep trying to show from everyone is really dumb and does look forced.
