  • The way I see it if Unreal2 comes out in Spring/Summer 2002 and this comes out in the Summer (or early Fall) they could have a good chance (albeit I'm not impressed by the screens of this one...but I thought UT would suck until I played the demo and decided it was about even with what Q3A was shaping up to be).

I'm hoping that U2 turns out to be pretty fast-paced (and I'm not talking about what CS/DoD players call fast paced...I'm talking about what Q1 players call fast-paced). If it doesn't then I hope this one does...and if they both turn out to be "let's slow everyone down to a crawl for the sake of "realism" because that's the in-thing now" fest than I probably won't buy either.

  • Well the egypt shots look a bit blah really, but the map with the radar dish thingies plastered all over the horizon looks really cool, IMO. I could do without the clown guy personally, but every games has its ass model that everyone likes to pound on (like clown/hossman) so I'm willing to forgive it. I just hope that the one section of the egypt level just happens to be a plain area. The sure released enough shots of it tho. If it was me, I wouldnt' have released any screenshots of that one, knowing how retardedly critical the gaming community is. Of course, heh, if I was a game developer, no matter how good my screenshots looked, I'd expect comments like "I'd rather be sodomized to death every minute of every day than play this game!" Unless I worked for id. Then I could release a screenshot of a piece of carpet then I'd expect comments like "I haven't stopped slappin the dolphin since I saw it!" But maybe I'm jaded. :)
