Bungie's New RTS
by Steve Gibson, Dec 22, 2001 12:52pm PSTBungie wowed quite a few people when they did the unthinkable task of making a FPS actually tolerable on a console machine. So what are they up to next? Well according to this story on Gbase.ch (more) detailing a visit to Bungie, the developer is now pounding away on a 3D strategy RTS game set in the middle ages. The game will of course premier on the XBox given that Bungie sold out to Microsoft a while back. Here's some translation action of the German article via Babelfish (more) & Blues:
The new project will exploit the Link- and Internet capabilities of the Xbox in particular (X-Net Online). It will be a genuine multiplayer 3D strategy game that in Bungie's words should change the world. The story will be set in the dark Middle Ages and some characters like Trolls, Goblins and Undead will be available to control.

But seriously, I think the MS thing is good for Bungie. They'll always have a publisher.
