BioWare recently terminated its contract with publisher Interplay, and according to the latest Gamespin article that could be pretty bad for its upcoming D&D game Neverwinter Nights. Since Interplay owns the D&D game rights, its gonna be pretty much impossible to ship Neverwinter Nights like it is right now.

Damn it! The only innovative computer game of the year is getting screwed because of this bullshit? The game industry is full of crap and when one good thing comes along it gets fucked. I feel disillusionment setting in.

I am pretty sure the game will still ship in february/march; the developers have said that the lawsuit would not delay the game.

Take the one glimmer of future hope of my life and smash it. I'm so looking forward to a good D&D game.

BTW, been playing that Baulder's Gate game for the PSX2 - pretty good and would recommend it.

Ignorant comment. Interplay owna a portion of the D&D license for a period of time. They can renegotiate to put it out under another company like Infogrammes or they can negotiate with WotC to use another D&D license.
