Since I cant read I never read that book but it's got fantasy stuff in there and every self respecting geek likes that stuff. The other question I get most often, You can check availability for a line in your area by going to www.shackdsl.net (Be sure and select the gamer package). Yes those pages are horribly confusing, it's on the plate for the holidays to clean up.

so wait till your ideal cpu or gfx card has a big cut, then go for it...
Also, you can buy temporary stuff... like I have a gf2mx as my temporary gfx card till something fucking awesome comes out that would benefit greatly from a new card (think doom3)

I forsee in 50 years time human beings using 1/10'th the gas and electricity
for the home thanks to technology - maybe 100 years before they really find
something which makes the microwave and gas heater a thing of the past (or
10x more effecient) - I also see us paying approximately the same money per
month / quarter for "some kind of bill" because in the long run goverment
and business's are "used to" being paid X amount and have factored it into
their budget forever.
Some car engines have never been released because of the hundreds of
thousands of people who would loose jobs because they are so much more
effecient and demand would disapear for things that thousands if not
millions of people rely on for work (note, I can't give examples I admit no,
but I've heard these kind of things many times)
Society is not cool - slowly "tightening" it's grip on making the people
empty their wallets, perhaps even in 1000 years time if we are still alive,
we will be assigned jobs, futurama style and simply work the job we are
designated and offered "quarters" with "lunch" or rather "time off work" for
the last 2 hours of the day - before we go to bed and get woken up by our
GOVERMENT controlled alarm clocks... etc (ok I'm rambling and being a
conspiracy theorist, but I see society changing for the worse, basically
it's at it's best NOW and only going to get worse, and it was only BETTER
back in the past - nothing we can do now but try to live it up while we can)
P.S anyone want to find this camera with a hacksaw with me? I think I'd make
a great leader for a revolt in 20 years time!"

Anyone know some things you can do to fix lock ups in opengl games? I got a Geforce2MX, p3 500 128mb ram.. i tried looking for updated drivers and stuff for my mobo a while ago and didnt find any(forgot the name of the mobo :( )
ANY opengl/d3d game locks up in a matter of minutes, i've tried win98, xp pro, and tons of drivers etc.. This didn't happen before.. At least it lasted a good 30+ mins playing till it locked up, now I can't even get into the game.. (i play quake3(navy seals;))/ghost recon mostly) anyone recommend drivers? or a tweak utility? registry hax0ring? plz help. i havent used this computer in ages because of that, i have to use my aunts pc to play games! :(

I bought the PC game "Blade Runner". Played it. Beat it. Loved it. Whatever.
Yesterday, I Buy the Blade Runner DVD and am watching it with some friends. During the movie there's footage that was actually used IN the game and I yell out "OMG they stole that from the game!" And my friends yell at me and say it's the other way around.

that little fighers game kicks my fucking ass.
1 player, by myself, and i just get my ass handed to me. It's those fucking archers... they hit you once, and they you are all going through the "ow, i've been hit" thing, and they take advantage of the fact that you can't move and shoot you twice more, and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. I mean, i'm not good at fighting games, but usually I can hold my own... but this game makes me it's bitch. is there some move that I don't know about or something? or does "easy" actually mean super-expert-1337-fighers-only?
