  • Okay just played this thing for a bit, and even though no one is even reading this thread anymore, I thought I'd give a quick review.

    -Pros-
    1. Real Physics on all objects, shoot a chair and it falls over in the proper direction, push over tables etc.
    2. Leaning, it's getting to be a more common feature but it's still cool to see
    3. When enemies die, IK physics takes over and results in some nice death sequences - only other game I can recall that does this is Hitman (Hitman did it better though)
    5. Damage decals on walls look pretty nice, quite a bit like Max Payne
    6. Enemy AI can be pretty decent in some situations, at least it can find its way around

    -Cons-
    1. Movement feels rather choppy (if you bitch about the Lithtech engine than you will HATE this)
    2. Graphics look rather "1998", I'll let this one go as it is a budget title and for a budget title they aren't that bad
    3. Enemy AI is overly aggresive and overly predictable
    4. Sound effects are pretty poor (with the exception of bullets hitting walls and gunshots, which are both decent), the biggest problem comes from the fact that the enemies make no noise when they move around
    5. Some objects can be pushed over too easily (tables, benches), you try to jump on a table and end up kicking it across the room, (you should have to hold down the use button to push larger objects - or something), NPCs end up bashing into furniture quite a bit too and it results in some pretty goofy occurances
    6. Level design is pretty blah (at least the one included is)
    7. You can't take the ammo from enemies weapons (you have to drop your own weapon and then pick there's up)
    8. Blood effects are off by default and when you turn them on you only get the option for black or green blood
    9. Performance can be somewhat crappy for such a modest looking game
    10. etc. :)

Now looking at that list, one might think that I hated this game, but actually it is starting to grow on me and if I saw it being sold for about 5-10 bucks I MIGHT pick it up.
Oh yeah, it also crashed on me once with a big fat error message but it never happened again so I won't hold that against it. If you have nothing to do and a cable or better Internet connection, I'd say give it a shot (though, don't blame me if you hate it because that's a pretty good possibility :) )
