what the hell is this? I remember when a 13 mb demo was way way too much to download, now it seems piddly. What could they include in 13 mb??

Japanese developers shouldn't be allowed withing 100 yards of a PC. Thats just all there is to it.

Eh. Very poor demo, as almost all console => computer demos are.

First off, they use Windows Installer which is always kind of shiesty *and* it wants you to reboot afterwards. WTF, you need to reboot after installing a game?

So I get it installed and run the game. I always go into the options first, so I kind of have an idea of what I'll be dealing with. Huh, odd, my sound options are greyed out along with network and there is no control settings. Oh but I can change language, oh joy! So right, it lacks network play so I can't test what it's really meant to be.

Get into the game and fumble till I figure out the weird controls. QWERTY is for messages, while arrows replicated the Dreamcast's ABXY buttons. The numerical pad is used for the weird Tomb Raider-esque controls.

I drops you right into a woodland area where it looks like monsters roam. So, I start killing things and... I can't be hurt. Ooookay. So I kill. And move to the next area. And kill. Next area. Oh yeah, I'm not getting hurt, I'm not getting XP, and the item crates are all empty. Oh, and the monsters aren't dropping anything. Boring. ESCape. It tells me it'll save things, but then when I get to the main menu, the Continue option is still grey so I'll hazard a guess it didn't save. I go to quit and... Blackscreen. Locked.

Yeah, what a poor demo. Doesn't really hype me for what is essentially Anime Diablo 3D.

Oh yeah, graphics were nice except for the horrible horrible rendering errors on my Radeon, dropping random while polygons all over the place.

Looking at it from a "compatibility test" standpoint, I think it shows promise. Using a gamepad, it was very easy to control. The combat interface is very intuitive, I immediately picked up on the combo system. It's just a demo to see how the game looks and feels (I liked the graphics). Then you can run around and slice up a few baddies to see how the combat system works. For just a small little demo, I can't say that I expected a lot of gameplay.

I love my Dreamcast (and the 100+ games for it) but I never picked this up due to the fact that I don't have a dialup ISP. Anyhow this installer made me reboot (!!!) and then just gave some sound.dll error and wouldn't start. It's too bad cause I was looking forward to finally trying it out.

Oh. So THAT'S why it's only 13 Mb. Did anyone else not get sound? And is this only a trial where you run around in circles in the same room and beat down the same guys while being invincible, or is it just me?

Someone should offer a demo up through a file sharing system like Kazaa. They would use less bandwidth on their end and little files like this could be propogated quickly.

I'd reccomend that you pass on this one. You just run around in a circle hacking at enemies while you're invincible. Nothing of note here. (other than the nice gfx)
