Nerve did a hell of a job of RTCW multiplayer and I still try to get at least a little bit of time in on that every evening. Havent heard anything new from EA today except for "we expect it today" but they expected it yesterday too. Stuff to read until hopefully we see a demo tonight:

finally got the new box up and running, but when I try and run CS it crashes durring connect. Tried openGL just for shits n giggles and that works fine(er normally I spose with 3fps or so)
tried different resolutions, new detonators, still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Got my Athlon XP 1600+, ABIT KT7A-RAID, GeForce3 Ti200, and 80GB WD800 put together tonight. Had to pick up a floppy drive from a computer surplus store since the one that was shipped with the case was killed enroute (stupid vendor put "Fragile" on the computer case box and UPS tried to kill it)
Should get the sound card in tomorrow (went with a Turtle Bearch Santa Cruz).
Going to put the DVD, CD-RW, and memory from this machine into the new one, and install W2K. Going to use my good 3Com NIC that I currently have sitting in my linux box in this machine too.
Once I get everything the way I want it, I'm going to pull the DVD and memory (512MB PC133) from the PII-400 machine and put it into this machine, break the RAID array and use one of the 75GXPs to mirror the other until the drives die. Probably install linux on this machine.
I'm going to put my spare 256MB of PC100 back into the PII-400 machine. Going to pull the HD, CD-ROM, and NICs out of the P200MMX machine and put them into the PII-400 machine, then bring the P200 machine into work for a kick-around box.
The PII-400 will be reconfigured as the file and print services machine, using the 3.2GB HD from the P200MMX machine as the system disk and the 14GB HD already in it for /home, /tmp, and swap.
This machine (900Mhz Athlon) will become my linux test-bed machine and I'll use the new Athlon XP machine as my desktop.
Can't wait to check out the games on the XP 1600+, GF3 200ti combo... Going to miss having the RAID array, though :-(

If it looks like the PS2 version I'll be happy, but since it's prone to chugging even on the PS2 at times I figure you're gonna need a MONSTER PC. It feels like only yesterday that I built this 1.4ghz T-bird GF3 system, and yet it feels so outdated already :(

and some clever asshole just owned me. he was acting like a real jackass, so I start talking shit to him and he then changes his name to mine, spams a whole bunch of shit via "say_world", then, the other people in the other arenas callvote to kick him, but using my name, so I get kicked!
