It's taken me quite a while to follow up on that Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, but most publishers and developers are just pig ass slow in responding to their emails (from me at least). But it's getting a little better as long as I annoy them enough ;) The tactical shooter Global Operations reached beta status and is being tested by a lot of folks in the U.S and Europe. I got in the beta myself and you can expect a few new screenshots and possibly a writeup with my impressions. Though my English is generally good enough for the news updates, I feel it's still lacking in places and so far that has prohibited me from writing anything particularly lengthy. Maybe time for more courses in English. I did one outside of high school a few years ago and that was very helpful, but it's not enough. Is the Lord of the Rings movies just getting crazy early reviews or what? Nice to see it actually lives up to all the hype and then some. Getting so close to release! It's the only movie I actually bothered to get tickets for more than a week in advance.

We're not looking to win since one kid got some unreleased putty product from his mom that can catch it from 8 meters (maximum height). So we're going for...originality!
Our 'device' is a cakepan filled with rice...we're going to dress up in aprons and chef hats. We had originally planned to use a tupperware bowl, but that's too hard to hit from high up. Cakepan allows us to drop it 4 meters without breaking. Bwahaha.
