Medal of Honor Date!

Ben 'Bigd' Swarts gets the mad props for spotting the update on the EA Medal of Honor website with word on a shipping date as well as an upcoming playable demo of the game:

It's official. The full retail version of Medal of Honor Allied Assault is scheduled to ship on January 22, 2002. Until then, gamers can get a taste of the action by playing the single player demo, which is available on Computer Gaming World's February demo disc or by pre-ordering the full game at Electronics Boutique or GameStop stores. For more information on the level featured in the demo, please click here.

Maarten contacted EA so we should have some higher res shots of that demo level soon. Here are a bunch of our other MOH:AA screenshots.

I apologize if i'm beating a dead horse, but for gods sake, no blood is freaking pointless.

I killed humans and everything else til the cows came home in older 2d games (with plenty of blood) and it didn't bother me at all. I was first disturbed when I saw a character model writhing on the ground in pain. Realistically showing what happens when you get shot in the stomach is much more disturbing that pints of blood. That's just my opinion, i could be wrong.

Anyone sad like me? I hate when all these new games come out. I like them a lot and wish i could play em, but its not fun when you have to lower all your visual settings. I got a great system just shitty vid card... I plan on getting a ps2 instead of a vid card
