SCSI's Makeover
by Maarten Goldstein, Nov 28, 2001 6:40am PSTZDNet is reporting that after creating the new Serial ATA standard for ATA harddrives, hard drive makers are now looking to create a new standard for SCSI drives. They should've figured it out by 2004. Serial ATA should provide HDDs with a speed of 1.5 gigabit per second, compared to 800 mbit per second for ATA 100.
