FRAG3 Registration

In regards to this cheat, what the hell does it do? Can I see some demos? What\'s going on? Is there anything I can do to stop it?

Actually, I wish we could just get them out of Dallas. Maybe, into... oh, Austin.

And, the CPL has had 2 events out of Texas: Ground Zero in NY and some Decent 3 thing in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hey Spez, donut.gamers.com should be working fine, it\'s got an 8-player limit, and the password is just for a few private slots in case a few of us want to hop in without kicking anyone off :)

In regards to the maxfps cheat, it\'s definitely his machine. He brought it up to us a couple of months ago and asked why it only happened on his machine. I guess that\'s the advantage to using a K6-2 or whatever weird PGL machine he got ;)

#44 - The CPL has no elite players. Extreme Annhilation was won by immortal and Ground ZERO by stx-wombat, neither were CPL star-players players before winning those events.

I also would like to apologize for the delay and the registration errors some people have been getting. We had a series of mishaps today including a power failure in our main network center. Tomorrow we will add the list so that everyone can check their registration and if you find errors just email jerry@cyberathlete.com

As for that cheat, Mak\'s the only one I know who can do it so flawlessly. It has to be his machine. I figured out how to do that trick, but to keep going through and doing that, he has either incredible skill or his machine.

I don\'t see what\'s so wrong with q3tourney. Sure it has bad spawns, but in some ways, so does q2dm1. In q2dm1 it was easy to tell people were by the sounds they made. Luckily in q3test you can\'t hear sounds that people make across the whole freaking map. SOme of the GZ matches were very close, and although some really hated the spawn frags, that\'s just the way the map is. Live with what ya get :)

And anyone who knows Mak in person knows he\'s a really nice guy.

Another thing that I disagree with, is how the organizers
of the past Frag(s) allow the \"elite\" players to play on
the tournament machines for the entire time-- for hours. This
practice allows them to get their settings down perfect
for each match. Also, I love the stacking of FFA elimination
rounds and one-on-one games-- so that certain players are
almost guaranteed advancement. Maybe it will be different this time?

Mak was the first person who discovered the bug, and it\'s because his system config is on the fritz. He doesn\'t even know what \"com_maxfps\" was until he released a demo of it :)

that map sucks... it basically boils down to who gets the first frag.

Did you read the followup to it? This was posted on the front page of cached.net a day after the first comments:

The design of q3tourney and the way q3 is set up right now makes it a shaft dominated level and i made a comment on that. Once again I apologize for this misunderstanding. In the future I\'ll be sure to think about wording what I have to say better since talking on the internet can easily be taken the wrong way.
