New Radeon Drivers

As expected, the new ATI Radeon 8500 drivers have been released. You can get them for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Win9x/ME. These drivers offer Smoothvision anti-aliasing and better performance. Thanks Crimsonbeak.

    Well after upgrading my system to a new XP 1500 && a KT266 m\b... and the Radeon 8500, I must say it is pretty sweet.

    There's certainly still minor issues the extended desktop modes and such, but it is certainly worth the hassle for me. I'm running 2, 21" monitors, and the real estate is amazing. These latest drivers have cleared up a few of the issues and improved things elsewhere. Having dealt with ATI's tech support over the course of a couple of phone calls, I can say that while they're not the most knowledgeable people with their own products, their response time and ambition to help is admirable.

    ATI, please PLEASE get some of your own tech people the actual product, in their hands that they are supporting dammit!
